Qiuquan Wang

Qiuquan Wang is Professor of Chemistry in the Department of Chemistry and the Key Laboratory of Spectrochemical Analysis & Instrumentation of the State Ministry of Education at Xiamen University. He is also a Professor in the State Key Laboratory of Marine Environmental Science at Xiamen University. He received his BSc (1986) from Liaoning University and his MSc (1989) from Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Afterwards, he became a Research Associate (1989) and then a Lecturer (1990-1994) in Shenyang University of Chemical Engineering. He went to Gunma Universityat the end of 1994, where he studied in the Departmentof Chemistry and earned his DrEng (1998). He returned to Xiamen University as a Post-Doctoral Fellow (1998), and was promoted to Associate Professor of Chemistry (1999) and then Full Professor of Chemistry (2004). He is the member of the International Advisory Broad of Analytical and Bioanalytical chemistry, and the editorial members of several Chinese scientific journals including Chinese Science Bulletin, Chinese Journal of Analytical Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry and Journal of Analytical Science. He has broad research interests ranging from Atomic Spectrometry (AS) to Mass Spectrometry (MS), especially in the development of hyphenated systems of HPLC/CE with AS/MS for elemental speciation and the monitoring of POPs in the environment. Currently, he devotes a great deal of energy to developing novel analytical strategies for sample introduction technique of AS, and Metallomics and Quantitative Proteomics studies. He enjoys watching films, reading, and relaxing with a leisurely stroll.
