Marjan Veber

Marjan Veber is a professor of Analytical Chemistry and head of the Chair for Analytical Chemistry at the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology, University of Ljubljana (http://www.fkkt.uni-lj.si/en/). He obtained his PhD degree in Chemistry in 1988. Between 2001 and 2005 he was the Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology at the University of Ljubljana. He is the vice president of the Slovenian Chemical Society and has organized and chaired several international scientific meetings.

His research interest is focused on analytical atomic spectrometry with respect to sample preparation, sample introduction to inductively coupled source using thermospray and different aspects of preconcentration approaches in trace analysis Present research is oriented to the elemental mass spectrometry, investigation of methods for the characterization of organic and inorganic compounds in air samples and use of chemometric approaches in non target analysis.
