Victoria Salvadó

Prof. Victoria Salvadó graduate in chemistry from the University of Barcelona (1978), doctor in chemistry from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (1987) and professor of analytical chemistry at the Department of Chemistry of the University of Girona (UdG), Prof. Salvadó has published more than 120 papers in international scientific journals and more than 200 contributions in international congresses in the area of environmental sciences, analytical chemistry and separation sciences, h-index 26. She undertook post-doctoral research visits at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm and the University of Kentucky and has participated in and led 24 investigation projects and 15 R+D contracts with industry and public administration. Among her many professional roles, Prof. Salvadó has been the Vice Rector of Research of the UdG and founder of the Catalan Institute for Water Research (ICRA). She currently leads the Analytical and Environmental Chemistry Research Group and is Dean of the Faculty of Science at the UdG. She is member of the Spanish Society of Analytical Chemistry (SEQA) and of the Spanish Society of Chromatography and Related Techniques (SECyTA). Her research interests include atomic spectrometry, mass spectrometry, speciation analysis, chromatographic techniques and sample treatment methodologies such as liquid and polymeric membranes and solid phase extraction.
