Marcel B. Miglierini

Marcel Miglierini graduated from the Slovak University of Technology (STU) in Bratislava in 1981. In 1995 he has received the DrSc degree. He works at the Institute of Nuclear and Physical Engineering, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (www.fei.stuba.sk ), STU. In 1997, he was appointed as a full professor in condensed matter physics. His research activities comprise disordered systems studied by non-destructive spectroscopy methods. He is a national representative of Slovakia to the International Board on the Applications of the Mössbauer Effect. Recently, his research interests are oriented towards the use of synchrotron radiation in nuclear spectroscopy. Currently, he is chairing the Steering Committee of the Consortium CENTRALSYNC which ensures access to the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility for Czech, Slovak, and Hungarian scientists. Prof. Miglierini is the president of the Slovak Spectroscopy Society.
