Jozef Kaiser

Jozef Kaiser graduated from Brno University of Technology, Czech Republic, in 1997, and received his PhD in physical and material engineering in 2001. In 2001 he became a research assistant at the Institute of Physical Engineering, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Brno University of Technology, Czech Republic. Since 2005 he has been an associate professor and since 2013 a full professor in that institute. He is one of the founders and until now the head of the LIBS research laboratory (http://libs.fme.vutbr.cz/) at Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Brno University of Technology. Since 2011 he is the head of the X-ray micro and nanotomography research group (http://www.ceitec.eu/ceitec-but/x-ray-micro-ct-and-nano-ct/rg6) of CEITEC – Central European Institute of Technology, Brno University of Technology. He is currently engaged in research and development of spectroscopic techniques for trace detection of atomic and molecular species, X-ray microradiography and micro-CT.
